How can I check which documents I need to provide?

Want to get your account, a chauffeur, or vehicle reactivated? You might need to update some documents.

If your account, chauffeur profile or vehicle was previously live with Blacklane but then deactivated for compliance reasons, please note that we must receive and approve all relevant documentation before the account or vehicle can be set live again.

Document status options

  • If a document is Approved, no further action is required.

  • If a document is Pending, this means that you have uploaded a version of the document, but it has not yet been verified. If you are confident that the document is correct, no further action is required on your part.

  • If the document status is blank or Rejected, please upload a document to the field as soon as possible. You can find more information on how to do this at the bottom of this page.

Checking documentation for chauffeurs

  1. Log in to the Partner Portal.

2. Click ‘Chauffeurs’.

3. Select the chauffeur whose documents you want to check by clicking ‘Details’.

4. Click the ‘Documents’ tab

5. Check the status of each document.

Note: If your chauffeur or partner account has been on hold for more than 2 months, please make sure to review the chauffeur training modules to make sure your knowledge is up to date.

Checking documentation for vehicles

  1. To check the documents of a vehicle, click ‘Vehicles’ and then ‘Details’ next to the vehicle you want to check.

2. Click the documents tab to see the status of the documents for that vehicle.

Checking company documentation

For company documents, clicking ‘Company’ at the top of the page in the Partner Portal will take you directly to the documents for this section.

Note: If your company name has changed, please update all of your company documents with the new entity name listed. Be sure to let the Partner Support team know about the update once all your documents have been provided. Bear in mind that any update which involves a change in company name needs to be approved by the Payments team. If it is not possible to make these changes with your current account, you may need to re-register as a new partner using your new company name.

If you are updating your VAT/tax information, please provide your new tax document and any additional documentation in case your company name has changed.

How to upload documents

  1. Once you have accessed the company page or the documents tab of the chauffeur or vehicle you want to update the documents of, simply press ‘Upload’ to add a new document.

2. Then select the file you need to replace, add an expiration date if required, and press Upload.
