The 'On the way to pickup' button

How to use this important feature when performing a ride.

Updated this week

It is extremely important to always press the 'On the way to pickup' button 60 to 90 minutes before the scheduled pickup time. Why?

  • It triggers a message to the guest with the chauffeur’s name and contact details to let them know you’ll be arriving soon.

  • It informs Blacklane that you are heading to the pickup location.

  • If you forget to press this button on time, it may lead to the booking being canceled or re-assigned to a different chauffeur. This could lead to a service improvement opportunity being created.

If you have to leave more than 90 minutes before the scheduled pickup time to get to the pickup location, please contact Partner Care via chat or phone and inform them that you will be pressing the On the way to pickup button early. The earliest time a chauffeur can press the button is three hours before pickup.

Important to note

  • The chauffeur assigned to the ride is the only person that can activate this button.

  • The earliest time chauffeurs can press the button is displayed on the slider.

Tip: Remember to always track flight or train arrivals, to check if you should adjust the pickup time accordingly before pressing On the way to pickup.
