Updated this week

Dear Local Service Provider/Supplier,

With the aim of contributing as an innovative and responsible company to a sustainable economy, we have established our Code of Conduct for Local Service Providers and Suppliers. This policy reflects the current requirements and challenges we face as a company. We expect the same commitment from all our local service providers and suppliers, and we kindly ask you to review this Code of Conduct

carefully and commit to its principles. For future cooperation, we agree with our local service providers and suppliers on the validity of the following regulations.

Blacklane operates as a platform connecting chauffeur service providers with customers. This policy reflects our commitment to ethical, sustainable, and socially responsible business practices. All partners and suppliers who collaborate with us are expected to adhere to these principles, ensuring that services provided through our platform meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity.

Scope

This policy is binding for all local service providers and suppliers offering chauffeur and related services via our platform. It encompasses local service providers and affiliated businesses involved in delivering transportation services. Compliance with this policy is required across all operations and supply chains.

Leadership and Responsibility

Management at all levels within local service providers and supplier organizations is responsible for implementing the principles and requirements of this policy. This includes providing appropriate training for employees and subcontractors, overseeing compliance measures, and promoting a culture of accountability and ethical conduct.

Our Sustainability Standards

Our sustainability standards for suppliers and local service providers are defined as follows:

Compliance with Laws and Regulations

Local service providers and suppliers must comply with all relevant laws and regulations governing their operations. This includes adherence to labor laws, transportation regulations, environmental standards, and regional compliance requirements. Where local laws conflict with the standards outlined in this policy, the stricter standard shall apply.

Respect for Human Rights and Fair Labor Practices

We require all local service providers and suppliers to uphold human rights and ensure fair labor conditions. This entails prohibiting all forms of forced and child labor, ensuring fair wages that meet or exceed legal standards, and fostering an inclusive environment free of discrimination. Workers must be treated with dignity and respect, with their well-being prioritized at all times.

Health, Safety, and Customer Security

A critical component for our services is the safety and security of customers and chauffeurs. Local service providers and suppliers must:

  • Vehicles must be maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications to ensure safety, reliability, and optimal service quality.

  • Provide chauffeurs with comprehensive training on safe driving practices, emergency handling, and customer care.

  • Ensure that vehicles remain clean and comfortable to enhance the customer experience.

Environmental Responsibility

Environmental sustainability is central to our operations. Local service providers and suppliers are expected to:

  • Transition to low-emission or electric vehicles wherever possible.

  • Adopt practices that reduce fuel consumption and promote route optimization.

  • Implement initiatives to minimize waste and manage hazardous materials responsibly.

  • Contribute to efforts aimed at offsetting the carbon footprint of their services.

Ethical Business Practices

Integrity and transparency are non-negotiable values. Local service providers and suppliers must:

  • Avoid any form of bribery, corruption, or conflicts of interest.

  • Ensure fair competition and transparent dealings with all stakeholders.

  • Safeguard customer data by adhering to strict data protection regulations.

Monitoring and Evaluation

We reserve the right to monitor and evaluate compliance with this policy. Local service providers and suppliers are expected to cooperate fully with audits, inspections, and any other verification activities. Relevant records and facilities must be made available to support these processes.

All local service providers and suppliers are required to report any actual or suspected breaches of this policy promptly. Confidential channels for reporting will be provided, and retaliation against whistleblowers will not be tolerated.

Consequences of Non-Compliance

Violations of this policy may result in corrective action, which could include suspension or termination of the business relationship. Severe breaches may also lead to legal consequences. Local service providers and suppliers are encouraged to act proactively to address any compliance issues that arise.

Commitment to Compliance

By agreeing to this Code of Conduct, local service providers and suppliers commit to upholding the principles outlined herein. They are also required to communicate these principles to their employees, subcontractors, and affiliates, ensuring alignment across all levels of their operations.
